Santa Barbara, CA [December 16, 2008]
— LuxuryTec and Maps.com have jointly developed printed maps using a re-useable adhesive fabric media.
LuxuryTec, the Visual Brand Identity company based in North Carolina, provides large format adhesive prints that will stick to almost any surface, but can be removed and replaced without losing adhesion.
Maps.com is a leading supplier of high quality maps and related products, and will be the exclusive provider of cartographic images on LuxuryTec's "Wallzilla" product, with immediate effect.
"Developing this strategic partnership with LuxuryTec was a natural fit for Maps.com. Embracing new innovations in map application speaks directly to our consumers, who are continually looking for more versatility and functionality," revealed John Serpa, President of Maps.com.
The Wallzilla medium will offer a versatile option for consumers as it can be displayed on virtually any surface without screws, pins, tape or tacks, and is easily relocated without damage to the map or wall.
"It was important for us to partner with a forward thinking and innovative group." Explained Brian Reid, founder and President of LuxuryTec. "Our goal was to find the most experienced and well respected map aggregator in the industry. We found just that in our partnership with Maps.com."
Large format wall maps are used for business, personal decorative and educational purposes. The adhesive Wallzilla maps offer a more portable option to consumers than the traditional paper product. Users can apply a large map to any surface, then remove it and replace it in a different location without losing its adhesive properties.
