Maps.com Has a New Look!
Visitors to the Maps.com website will notice a new look and experience improved performance after the retail site was re-launched late November.
The site has a new look and feel that makes pages easier to read and navigate while the background architecture has been updated for faster loading and less wait time.
Visual improvements include bigger pages — effective with the larger screens and higher resolutions utilized by the majority of visitors to the site. More information can be displayed on one screen reducing the need for scrolling and searching for content. Customers can compare and contrast products more easily on a single page.
Styling has been simplified with softer colors and a modern, minimalistic look. More space is allocated to the product information but customers still have the option to navigate in multiple ways — a popular feature of its predecessor.
The site uses Web 2.0 which has enabled many of the improvements. Many of the Web 2.0 technologies and design features have been used, as well as extensive download optimization, to deliver a vastly improved site for our visitors.
Maps.com is the leading website for maps and other cartographic materials, displaying more than 15,000 products to a monthly audience averaging 1.2 million.
