Wallzilla FAQ
What surfaces will it stick to?
Almost any surface. We recommend that it should be clean, dry and free of loose debris.
Will it damage my wall?
The special low-tack adhesive is designed to be removed and reapplied frequently without damaging your wall. However we recommend testing on a discreet area if you have concerns.
How long does it last?
With continuous removal and replacement Wallzilla is expected to last up to three years without losing its adhesive or aesthetic properties. However if it is only moved occasionally the map will last for many years.
Can it be used outdoors?
Wallzilla is made from fabric, which means it will expand and contract without wrinkling or tearing. The inks are UV stable so it will not fade in sunlight. The substrate material used for Wallzilla Wallmaps is used for promotional material outside sports stadia and other venues throughout the country.
Can I use drywipe markers on my Wallzilla map?
Not unless the product has a laminated finish. Laminated Wallzilla maps are expected in February of 2009.
Is the material harmful to the environment?
The fabric is a woven polyester material which is fully biodegradable. We recommend that you retain the backing paper for re-use. The Wallzilla material is more durable than paper products meaning it will require less frequent replacement.
Can I get Wallzilla Wallmaps from anywhere else?
Wallzilla Wallmaps are patented and produced exclusively for Maps.com , which means they can only be purchased through our e-commerce or Maps101 sites.
Do I really not use anything to attach it to the wall?
Once Wallzilla is on your wall the only way it will come off is if you peel it back. No tape, nails or screws are required for Wallzilla Wall maps.
Can I store Wallzilla?
Yes, it can be stored if reapplied to a backing material such as butcher paper or the backing paper supplied. It can also be rolled or folded — creases can be smoothed out once the map is replaced on a flat wall.
