    "What I like about it:
    1) Wonderful old timey looking choice of colors and fonts. Relief shading also has a great antique look.
    2) Decent amount of detail for it's size.
    3) Lavishly rich illustrations around the borders and on the map itself.
    4) Up to date political information. Includes South Sudan (does not include Kosovo though as Argentina, the country where this map was produced, does not recognize Kosovo, also disputed territories are not detailed which could be a drawback)

What I don't like about it:
    1) Could have been bigger (not even a full 3ft wide) which would have allowed for more detail. It's size prevents it from showing a couple of the tiniest nations/territories like San Marino and Vatican City. A few of the Caribbean territorial possessions like the Virgin Islands and Guadeloupe aren't detailed.
    2) A lot of geographical features are not named such as the Rocky Mountains, the Appalachians, Himalayas, Alps, the Sahara Desert. There are a few, such as ""Tibet"" or ""Cape York Peninsula"" but this could be a drawback for someone who might want to use it for educational purposes. Most notable islands and bodies of are water are named though.
    3) There are no latitude/longitude lines at all. No Equator, tropic zones, Arctic Circle or Grand Meridian. Again this could be a drawback for educational purposes.
    4) Not as big of an issue as the other three, but I would have liked a map that showed the borders of the 50 US states, the provinces of Canada, and the states of Australia, which this map does not, but so do a lot of other world maps.

Overall I LOVE this map. I was looking for something with up to date accurate information, but with that old fashioned style and beauty that maps used to have and this one delivers. It's a great decorative piece and probably a good reference piece for most folks. Those who are looking for very detailed political and geographic information, however, may not find what they're looking for with this map. As an earlier review mentioned there is a typo where ""Greenland"" is misspelled ""Geenland."""

This is a beautiful map and the illustrations along the side look wonderful. I did notice, though, that Greenland is spelt Geenland on the map. I'm still very happy with my purchase, but that's something you might want to know.
