Welcome to the second week of distance learning with Mini LessonMaps
Students embark on a learning adventure of discovery-right from home!
What are they?
These lessons are appropriate for grades 6-12 and allow the student to learn at their own pace! Each lesson has a Virtual Field Trip that takes students on an informative journey across a map to introduce the topic. A visual analysis portion and a reading activity follow to further critical thinking and conceptual understanding. Finally, students will summarize their learning. Additionally, each lesson is skill-based and aligned to Common Core State Standards.
How does my student use them?
Scrolling through the LessonMap will guide students through the questions and resources to develop skills and knowledge in the topic area. The lessons finish with the challenge of teaching it to someone at home. We want to encourage students to stay connected and sharing their achievements outside of the classroom environment.
