My son serves in the Peace Corps in the Ukraine. This map allows me to follow his travels; both on duty and personal. Laminate cover let's me tag locations and update at will.
I used this to explain where my ancestors started out and where they moved to (before coming to America) in a talk on genealogical migrations. It was a nice size and people were able to see (generally) where I was marking. I would have preferred a map of just Western Europe and Scandanavia (without Poland and Russia), but that's OK.
This is exactly what I was looking for, and you can't really beat the price!
We're using this in combination with world physical and political maps for homeschooling. I wanted a big one of Europe for their history class, since so much of history revolves around that area. Besides the great colors and readability, I chose this one over others because it includes northern Africa, which factors in so much of Greek and Roman history.
