Since 1948, In-N-Out has maintained a simple philosophy – serve only the highest quality product, prepare it in a clean and sparkling environment, and serve it in a warm and friendly manner. They have built a reputation for fresh, made-to-order foods prepared and served by friendly, well-trained associates. Sixty-seven years later, on January 7th, 2015, In-N-Out celebrated the opening of its 300th restaurant and proudly serves five different states.
A highly popular company, In-N-Out’s corporate team found themselves wanting to know where each of their restaurants was located in a broad overview, so that they could develop a planning strategy for expansion.
In-N-Out envisioned a map that would plot all of their current locations so that their corporate team could have an overall perspective for their strategic planning and management.
The result is a collection of six 4-foot by 3-foot wall maps. Each map was designed with its own custom coverage area: Southern California, Northern California, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and Texas. Maps.com cartographers carefully plotted each In-N-Out restaurant location and also built a cross-referenced index below the map for an easy user experience. This map collection is not only custom designed to fit into the brand, it is an important piece of easily accessible strategic planning material built to aid In-N-Out’s future expansion.
