At Maps.com, we get excited about maps, however we understand that sometimes, the reality of an online map purchase is that when you get the map, it may be different than you expected. If that is the case, then by following these simple steps, you can send your order back to us and receive a refund, replacement, or suggestion for the right map.
While Maps.com is unable to refund shipping costs, we will gladly refund the cost of products returned in their original and 100% re-sellable condition within thirty (30) days of receipt, with the following exceptions:
- A 15% restocking fee will apply to all Globes, Mounted and Framed maps and bulk orders of 20 or more of a single map item.
- Personalized Products are non-returnable,/non-refundable.
- Bulk orders of 50 units or more of a single map title are non-returnable,/non-refundable. We can ship a copy for review prior to purchase.
To process your request, all returns require a Maps.com provided Return Materials Authorization (RMA) Number (aka RAN number).
Prior to returning any products, please contact Maps.com Customer Service at 1-800-430-7532 and provide the following:
Order Reference number
Maps.com is unable to accept returns or process refunds in the following instances:
- Previously mounted, staple holes, push-pin holes or any other alteration
- Items arrive at Maps.com damaged due to improper return packaging
- Items that are returned to Maps.com that are not pre-authorized
Please allow up to two weeks for refund processing.
Maps.com is pleased to offer Wall Maps and Puzzles that can be personalized with your own custom title or centered on your address. Due to the nature of these products, they are non-returnable/non-refundable. Please make sure to submit your personalization exactly as you want it to appear and watch out for spelling mistakes and typos. Confirm your submission prior to checking out.
For Personalized Wall Maps, we'll strive to personalize the title exactly as you submit it but may need to make adjustments due to font size and space availability in order to maintain the aesthetic features. Otherwise, if the personalization on the product you receive does not match what you submitted, we will gladly replace it. Please note that production times for the personalized products vary and expedited delivery is not available.
Maps created using the radius map builder are developed by you for a specific purpose. They are built to a custom size and detail level, for a custom area. Maps created using this tool and non-returnable other than for maps which arrive damaged or defective. In the event that a radius map arrives damaged, follow the procedure outlined below under Damaged Products.
To avoid disappointment, use the preview to verify that your map is correct in terms of boundaries, radius size and position etc.
These maps are built specifically with custom locations and personalized information. For this reason they are non-refundable other than in the event of damage which occured during shipping.

If a map is visibly damaged at time of delivery refuse it immediately, note the damage to the driver, and call us at (800) 430-7532.
If damage is not found until the product is opened, please contact Maps.com immediately at (800) 430-7532 to report the damaged delivery. You will be asked to provide us with as much information as possible in order for us to file a claim with the appropriate carrier, as well as to ensure that your order is handled thoroughly and efficiently.
Once the damage has been reported to Maps.com, we will determine if the damaged product needs to be returned to us for assessment in order to follow through with the claim. Please hold on to the damaged product and the packaging in the event that the carrier chooses to retrieve and assess. A replacement product will be sent out to you free of charge. If you are returning a damaged item, you may use US Priority Mail or UPS Ground services (there is no need to return it using an expedited service). Please notify customer service of the shipping amount you paid and that cost will be reimbursed to your credit card.

Digital Map Graphics (AI, PSD, TIFF)
The preview image provided for our digital map graphics is an exact representation of the downloadable file (what you see is what you get). If you are not satisfied with a digital map you have ordered, we will be happy to exchange it or give you a full refund on the purchase price if returned within 48 hours of the purchase date. Call us at 1-800-430-7532 to authorize the return. Digital maps returned after 48 hours, but within 30 days of purchase date are eligible for a 50% refund of the purchase price. Maps.com does not offer any refunds on Digital maps after 30 days of the purchase date.
Printable Maps (PDF): Printable Maps are non-returnable and non-refundable. Please review these products thoroughly to ensure they will meet your needs prior to purchase. No exceptions will be made. Call our customer service department at 800-430-7532 if you require more information about these products prior to purchase.
